Katy Perry tried her hand at Irish slang like 'I'll smack the arse off ya' and 'Few scoops?'
KATY PERRY IS currently out and about promoting her latest album Witness.
Earlier this week, the singer sat down with 2fm’s Eoghan McDermott to try her hand at Irish accents, chat to Niall Horan and play Snog, Marry, Avoid. The lengths one must go to to promote an album, eh?
Among other things, McDermott challenged Perry to say “I’ll smack the arse off you if you don’t stop acting the mickey” and “Sure, isn’t the sun bating down? Let’s swing into town for a few scoops.”
Katy’s accent is a little dodgy, but she tries her best and that’s all you can ask for, right?

Later on in the interview, Eoghan McDermott brought up their mutual friend Niall Horan. (You may have spotted Katy Perry and Niall Horan hanging out at the One Love concert in Manchester earlier this week.)

As soon as McDermott mentioned Niall Horan by name, Perry went into full-on gushing mode.

What… is she hinting at here? *eyes emoji*
McDermott ended up facilitating a phone conversation between the two pals and let’s just say they were very cordial and on their best behaviour.
